Jeff Bellantoni is a Professor and Dean of the School of Media, Culture + Design at Woodbury University in Burbank, CA. With over 30 years of experience in arts education, design, and academic administration, he has held prior roles as Dean of the College of Visual & Performing Arts at Winthrop University, Vice-President for Academic Affairs at Ringling College of Art and Design, and Chair of the nationally-ranked Graduate Communications Design Department at Pratt Institute (2008–2014). His career has spanned multiple institutions, including the University of Connecticut, VCU School of the Arts, Mercy College, and the Wanganui School of Design in New Zealand.
Jeff holds an MFA in Visual Communications/Design from VCU School of the Arts and a BFA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
His research and professional interests focus on typography, media design, and graphic design education. He has co-authored internationally recognized books such as Type in Motion and Moving Type, Designing for Time and Space, which explore dynamic applications of typography. His work has been featured in design publications like How magazine and recognized by prestigious organizations including AIGA and the Connecticut Art Director’s Club.

In academic leadership, Jeff has spearheaded initiatives such as establishing an MFA program at Pratt Institute, founding Pratt Press, and launching the Graduate Design Guild.
