Prof. Jeanne de Bruijn is a Visiting Fellow at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) and part-time researcher in the Quality of Governance research group within the Department of Public Administration and Political Sciences. She also holds a part-time professorship at University College Roosevelt. Previously, she served as Rector Magnificus of the University of the Netherlands Antilles (2006–2012) and was a full professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at VU (1990–2006).
Her research focuses on governance resilience in the Caribbean, migration and integration, domestic violence, and sexual harassment. She collaborates with the Regioplan research institute on projects in the Caribbean Netherlands.
