Jean-Luc Moriceau

Jean-Luc Moriceau is a Professor at Institut Mines-Télécom Business School and Deputy Director of the LITEM research lab. He has been at the institution since 1994, teaching qualitative research methods, organizational theory, and management control. His work bridges critical management studies, ethics, and ethnography, with a focus on the interplay between affect, reflexivity, and performance in organizations.

• Education: Habilitation à diriger des recherches (2008), PhD (1997), Master (1989), and Grande École diploma (1989), all from Paris IX-Dauphine University.
• Leadership: Co-directed LITEM research lab, led doctoral training seminars, and organized international conferences focused on qualitative methods.

His research emphasizes humanistic approaches to organizational behavior, integrating philosophy, ethnography, and critical theory. He advocates for inventive qualitative methods and evocative writing, with a strong international collaboration network spanning Brazil, the Netherlands, and Canada.

Recent publications focus on ethnographic methods in accounting and organizational research, accountability in digital-pharmacological contexts, and the philosophical dimensions of qualitative research. He has authored six books and over 100 articles, with a 2024 book on ethnographic methods in management.
