Pierre Lescoat is an Assistant Professor at Neoma Business School, specializing in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of accounting, finance, and gender studies. He holds a doctorate from University Paris Panthéon Sorbonne and ESCP Business School, alongside advanced degrees from Université Paris Ouest Nanterre and HEC Paris. His work focuses on the sociology of accounting, financial sociology, and gender studies, employing qualitative methodologies. He is actively involved in the ODILE project funded by ANR, exploring cultural and economic dynamics in finance and cinema sectors.
Lescoat’s research critically examines performance evaluation systems, gender dynamics in financial markets, and the role of narrative authority in professional contexts. He has published in journals such as Critical Perspectives on Accounting and Gender, Work and Organization, and contributed to conferences like EGOS and the European Accounting Association. His recent work challenges assumptions of objectivity in performance metrics and explores queer perspectives in workplace dynamics.
Lescoat has received the FNEGE Prize for Best Interdisciplinary Thesis and collaborates with organizations on applied research projects. His teaching and research emphasize critical management approaches, integrating sociological and cultural frameworks to analyze organizational practices.
