Claire Silvant is a Lecturer in Economics at Lumière Lyon-2 University and a Researcher at the TRIANGLE laboratory (UMR 5206 CNRS) since 2011. She leads the MEEF CAPES SES Master program (M1 and M2) and manages the Franco-German MINERVE program. Her research focuses on the history of economic thought, especially the French liberal school and public finance. Key publications include co-editing A History of Economic Thought in France (2023). Awards include the Prix de thèse Richelieu (2011) and multiple conference recognitions. She coordinates grants like the ANR FIDEMO project on public finance crises (2014–2015).
Education: PhD in Economics (2010) from Paris Ouest Nanterre, specializing in 19th-century French liberal thought. Former roles include teaching at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and editorial roles at Oeconomia. Research interests span French liberal economists, public finance history, and economic crises. Active in international conferences since 2006, with presentations across Europe and the U.S.
