Jean Lacroix is an Associate Professor of Economics at Université Paris-Saclay. He specializes in Political Economics and Economic History with a focus on networks, innovation, territories, and globalization. His research bridges historical institutional analysis with modern political economy questions.
Research interests include political transitions and conflict, industrialization patterns, and the interplay between democratic institutions and economic factors. Notable works analyze the Voting Rights Act’s impact on political violence in the US, Vichy France’s political dynamics, and post-WWII democratic purges in France.
He participates in major research grants such as the ANR-TECHNOFIRMS (€336k, 2023-2028) and ANR-POLECOWWII (€470k, 2022-2026). His work has appeared in top journals including the Journal of the European Economic Association and the Journal of Economic History.
