Prof. Dr. Jean Krutmann leads the Molecular Aging Research group at the Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine in Düsseldorf. His research focuses on environmentally-induced skin aging, DNA repair deficiency syndromes (Xeroderma pigmentosum, Cockayne syndrome), and air pollution effects on skin. Key projects include DFG FOR5489 exploring AHR-retinoid crosstalk and RTG 2624 developing biostatistical toxicology methods.
