Sajjad Muhammad

Sajjad Muhammad is a Professor at the School of Medicine, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, leading the Neurovascular Research Unit within the Department of Neurosurgery at University Hospital Düsseldorf.

His research focuses on neuroimmune interactions post-subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), emphasizing:

• Identification of molecular biomarkers for intracranial aneurysm rupture risk and SAH complications
• Development of immunomodulatory therapies targeting DAMPs, HMGB1, and cytokine axes
