Jean Bonnet is a Professor of Economic Sciences at the UFR SEGGAT (Economics, Management, Geography and Regional Planning) at the University of Caen Normandy, where he serves as Deputy Director from July 2022 to December 2024. He is a permanent member of CREM (UMR-CNRS 6211) and has been actively involved in research on entrepreneurship, regional development, and sustainable development since joining the research center in 2004. His academic career spans over three decades, with significant contributions to economic sciences.
His research interests focus on entrepreneurship systems, regional development dynamics, sustainable development metrics, energy transition, and circular economy. Bonnet has developed innovative approaches to measuring entrepreneurial ecosystems and their impact on regional development, with particular attention to spatial differentiation and territorial governance. His work bridges theoretical economic frameworks with practical policy applications.
