Nathalie Colombier serves as an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Rennes 1, France, within the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Department of Economics. She is also a Research Fellow at the Centre de Recherche en Economie et Management (CREM), a CNRS research unit (UMR CNRS 6211).
Her research focuses on labor economics, experimental economics, and econometrics of qualitative variables. Dr. Colombier has conducted significant work examining risk preferences through experimental methods, investigating self-employment dynamics across generations, and analyzing how family environment influences entrepreneurial decisions. Her research methodology often employs experimental economics approaches to understand individual and collective economic behavior.
Dr. Colombier serves as Head of the Economics and Management Degree Program and holds administrative responsibilities as IT Correspondent. Her teaching portfolio spans multiple levels including Applied Statistics for L1 ECO and L1 AES students, Economic Modeling for L2 MASS, Econometrics 1 for M1 Statistics and M1 IEF programs (specializing in qualitative variables econometrics), and Statistics, software and surveys for M2 CEVALAF. She also provides Latex training to students.
She collaborates extensively with prominent researchers including Arthur Charpentier, Andrew Clark, Laurent Denant-Boemont, David Masclet, and Thierry Pénard across various research projects examining labor market behaviors, risk preferences, and self-employment dynamics.
