Jay DesLauriers

Jay DesLauriers is a Senior Teaching Fellow at Imperial College London within the Research Computing and Data Science group at the Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI). He holds a dual role as the AI Futurist in Education for the Business School, focusing on integrating generative AI into teaching, learning, and assessment. His primary teaching responsibilities include leading modules for the MSc Finance and MSc Management programmes, supporting the BSc Economics, Finance and Data Science programme, and delivering courses on Python, Julia, GitHub, software engineering best practices, and technical documentation at the Graduate School.

• Current Research: Engages in research on the cloud-to-edge continuum as a fractional Research Fellow at the University of Westminster's Centre for Parallel Computing

His research interests span distributed computing, AI applications in education, and computational systems design. DesLauriers actively collaborates with the ECRI to enhance research computing infrastructure and data science methodologies across disciplines.
