Ester Bonmati Coll

Dr. Ester Bonmati Coll is a Lecturer in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Westminster since April 2022. She holds an honorary Senior Research Fellow position at University College London (UCL), maintaining collaborations with UCL's Wellcome/EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS), UCL Centre for Medical Image Computing (CMIC), and the CANDI research group.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• Master's degree in Computer Vision
• PhD (2016): 'Study of brain complexity using information theory tools'

Research Interests: Focuses on AI-driven medical imaging, computer-assisted interventions, and ultrasound-guided cancer detection (prostate/pancreas). Current priorities include early cancer detection and image synthesis through machine learning.

Research Leadership: Early Career Representative in Westminster's Research Committee. Active in mentoring PhD students and guiding research in medical AI.

Labs/Groups: Member of the Computational Vision and Imaging Technology group at Westminster. Previously affiliated with UCL's CMIC and CANDI.
