Jay Corrigan is a Professor in the Department of Economics at Kenyon College, where he has taught since completing his PhD at Iowa State University in 2002. His research specializes in experimental and behavioral economics, focusing on how people value new products using innovative auction methodologies.
Corrigan has conducted influential studies measuring consumer valuation of Fair Trade products, genetically modified foods, cigarette warning labels, and social media platforms. His work on Facebook's economic value was named one of the ten best political economy papers of 2018 by the Washington Post. He teaches courses in microeconomics, game theory, and experimental methods.
