Jay Anderson

Jay Anderson is a Professor of Jazz Bass Studies at Manhattan School of Music since 1999, renowned as one of today's most versatile jazz bassists and composers. His career spans collaborations with legendary artists across jazz and contemporary music.

Anderson earned his Bachelor's Degree in Performance from California State University at Long Beach, where he won multiple awards in jazz and classical music during his studies.

His research and artistic focus centers on jazz performance, acoustic bass techniques, composition, and jazz education.
