Javier Garcia Torrent

Javier Garcia Torrent serves as a Professor in the Department of Energy and Fuels at Technical University of Madrid (UPM) since May 2011. He holds multiple leadership roles including Principal Investigator of the Industrial Safety: Explosive Atmospheres research group and Director of the Technological Center for Safety and Quality in Energy and Mining Industries (TECMINERGY) since July 2024.

His research spans interdisciplinary domains including Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Safety, and Fuel Technology. Specialized work focuses on explosive atmospheres, energy systems safety, and quality control in mining operations.
