Javad Feizabadi is an Associate Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. He holds affiliations with the MIT Global SCALE Network and previously served as a Research Affiliate at MIT’s Center for Transportation and Logistics (CTL). Before academia, he spent eight years in manufacturing industries such as automotive and agricultural machinery, blending practical industry experience with academic research.
Dr. Feizabadi’s research focuses on system-level dynamics in supply chain networks, emphasizing strategic interdependencies and adaptive responses to disruptions. His work explores how cognitive processes influence supply chain decision-making and investigates synergies between cooperation, coordination, and adaptability. He has published in journals like Strategic Management Journal and International Journal of Production Economics, with a strong emphasis on strategic supply chain decisions and network resilience.
His teaching covers supply chain planning, design, and financial analysis. Notable contributions include frameworks for assessing supply chain agility, adaptability, and alignment (the Triple-A model), as well as applications of machine learning in demand forecasting. His industry collaborations span consulting roles and publications addressing real-world challenges in manufacturing and logistics.
Feizabadi’s career bridges academia and practice, with over a decade of research experience and ongoing engagement with global supply chain networks.
