Jathan Sadowski is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Centred Computing at Monash University's Faculty of Information Technology. He also holds an affiliation with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making & Society. His research focuses on the political economy of information technology, exploring how digital capitalism shapes societal structures through smart technologies. Sadowski's work bridges academia and public engagement, including a weekly podcast This Machine Kills, addressing technology and political economy.
Education: PhD in Human and Social Dimensions of Science and Technology from Arizona State University (2016).
