Jason Eligh

Jason Eligh is a Senior Expert with the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime, specializing in illicit drugs and drug markets. He is also a Senior Technical Advisor to the East and Southern Africa Commission on Drugs and a recurring special session lecturer at the University of Hong Kong. His expertise spans criminal actor mapping, threat assessments, and policy innovation.

His research interests focus on illicit economies, drug market analyses, transnational organized crime, and policy response planning. His work integrates criminal justice with public policy frameworks to address complex global security challenges.

He brings over 25 years of experience, including 15 years as a United Nations official, and contributes to academic discourse as a member of the Journal of Illicit Economies and Development Editorial Board.
