Jason Dale Hibbs is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Bowling Green State University's School of Media & Communication, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a BS from Western Kentucky University and an MS from Montana State University-Billings. With five years of award-winning TV news reporting experience and two years managing a competitive commercial newsroom, Hibbs transitioned to higher education in 2018, where he now teaches courses in news editing, multimedia reporting, and broadcast production. His research focuses on the evolution of local news reporting and its societal impacts. Additionally, he is a freelance reporter, producer, and host for WGTE Public Media in Toledo and an active member of the Society of Professional Journalists and Broadcast Education Association.
