Jason D Hinman is a Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Neurology at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine, where he also serves as Vice Chair of Research and directs the Stroke Program at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. His NIH-funded research program investigates stroke, dementia, white matter injury, and neural repair mechanisms, with emphasis on neurovascular unit dysfunction and biomarker discovery.
Education includes a B.A. in Psychology from Case Western Reserve University (1999), M.D./Ph.D. in Medicine/Molecular Medicine from Boston University (2007), Internal Medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai (2008), and Neurology/Neurorehabilitation training at UCLA (2011-2014).
