Jason Buccheri is a Senior Lecturer (Teaching Focused) in the Department of Rural Clinical Sciences at La Trobe University's Bendigo campus. He serves as Course Coordinator for the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) program and has been with the university since 2018, progressing from Lecturer to his current Senior Lecturer position. His academic career is complemented by extensive professional experience in clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice.
His educational background includes:

- Graduate Diploma of Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Tasmania (2015-2017)
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) from La Trobe University, Bendigo (2006-2009)
Dr. Buccheri's research and teaching focuses on Pharmacy Practice, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Care, Medication Management, Polypharmacy, and Digital Health in Pharmacy. His work addresses critical issues in medication safety, pharmacist roles in immunization, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on pharmacy practice and legislation. He has developed innovative teaching approaches including gamification of pharmacy education, which earned him teaching awards.

His teaching portfolio includes subjects such as Person-centered Care, Pharmaceutical Care, Pharmacy Practice and Management, and Foundations in Quality Use of Medicines. He has also served on multiple teaching committees including the Department of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences Learning and Teaching Committee and the School of Molecular Sciences Learning and Teaching Committee.
Beyond academia, Buccheri maintains an active clinical practice as a Clinical Pharmacist at Point Cook Pharmacy while also contributing to pharmacy regulation as a Site Evaluation Team member for the Australian Pharmacy Council.
