Jason Boyle is an Associate Professor of Kinesiology at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), affiliated with the College of Health Sciences. His research focuses on motor control mechanisms in clinical and healthy populations, particularly in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), neuromuscular adaptations, and exercise physiology applications. He has received the Outstanding Teaching Award for his educational contributions.
Key research areas include: motor coordination optimization, speed-accuracy trade-offs in movement, and applying biofeedback interventions for ASD motor skill development. His work also explores electrical stimulation for metabolic health improvements in sedentary populations and hypoxic effects on muscle fatigue.
Recent publications highlight advancements in understanding ASD gait patterns, glucose metabolism interventions, and bimanual control processes. He frequently publishes in exercise physiology, neuroscience, and rehabilitation engineering domains.
- Awards: Outstanding Teaching Award (UTEP)
- Grants: Active research funding via ProQuest/Pivot partnerships
His laboratory work integrates kinematic analysis, neurophysiological measurements, and technology-based interventions to improve motor function across diverse populations.
