Jasminka Pecotić Kaufman serves as Professor of Law at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Economics and Business, Department of Business Law. She concurrently holds leadership positions as Vice-President of the Croatian Competition Law and Policy Association, Co-Director of the ASCOLA South-East Europe Chapter, and Non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network, while also contributing to editorial boards for the Yearbook of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies and the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies.
Her research critically examines competition law enforcement mechanisms in European post-socialist states, focusing on judicial interpretation challenges and the detrimental impact of excessively stringent proof standards on legal effectiveness. This work establishes her expertise in Southeastern European legal systems within transitional economies, addressing systemic barriers to antitrust implementation in evolving regulatory landscapes.
