Jasminka Pecotic Kaufman is a Professor of Law at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, and holds a Part-Time Professor position at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies within the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy. Her affiliations include leadership roles in academic societies such as the Croatian Competition Law and Policy Association (President), ASCOLA (Board Member), and Co-Director of its South-Europe Chapter, as well as Editorial Board membership for the Yearbook of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies (YARS).
Her research specializes in competition law enforcement within post-socialist European countries, focusing on institutional challenges, authoritarian legal culture, and the role of trade associations in regulatory frameworks. She co-leads the EUI Widening Europe project COMPO 1.0, analyzing cartel enforcement in selected EU widening countries.
