Jasmina Ilicic is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Monash Business School at Monash University. She serves as Regional Editor (Asia Pacific) for the European Journal of Marketing and was previously an Associate Editor for the same journal. Prior to joining Monash, she was a Lecturer in Marketing at The University of Adelaide. Her academic career followed industry experience in advertising with internationally recognized brands including L'Oreal and Pfizer.
Dr. Ilicic's primary research interests include:
- Spokesperson effectiveness (influencers/celebrities)
- Strategic brand element design (logos, brand names, and packaging)
- Minimising the harms of addictive product marketing (gambling, food)
- Brand authenticity and consumer-brand relationships
Her recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on how branding elements influence consumer perceptions and behaviors, with particular attention to how linguistic elements in brand names, celebrity endorsements, and packaging design affect consumer responses. Her work bridges theoretical marketing concepts with practical applications in branding strategy.
