Jase Ramsey is a Professor in the Department of Management at Florida Gulf Coast University's Lutgert College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Management/International Business from the University of South Carolina, an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird, and dual B.S. degrees in Management and Spanish from the University of Kansas. His research focuses on international talent management, global managers, and Latin American business dynamics, with a particular emphasis on cultural intelligence and innovation in cross-border contexts. He co-authored the textbook Navigating Commerce in Latin America and publishes in journals like Academy of Management Journal and Journal of World Business.
Teaching specialties include global strategy, cross-cultural management, and doing business in Latin America. His research explores how cultural intelligence influences expatriate adjustment, innovation in diverse markets, and ethical dilemmas in international business. Over 20 years of global residency and work experiences inform his academic contributions. He investigates topics such as entrepreneurial alertness, travel stress mitigation, and service recovery in emerging markets.
Recent publications address the innovation paradox in global work, AI-driven management education, and risk management for expatriates in hostile environments. His work integrates microfoundational theories with macro-level regional analyses, particularly in Central America and the Caribbean.
