Jarred M. Williams is an Associate Professor in the Department of Large Animal Medicine at the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine. He holds positions in the Large Animal Emergency and Critical Care Service and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. His academic background includes a PhD from The Ohio State University (2013), a DVM (2006), and an MS (2002) from the University of Georgia.
Research Interests: Emergency Medicine/Critical Care, Surgery, Biomechanics, and Large Animal Health. He focuses on trauma management, gastrointestinal disease, and surgical techniques in large animals.
Teaching Experience: Courses such as LAMS 5240 (Problems in Large Animal Medicine), LAMS 5250L (Large Animal Clinical Techniques Lab), and advanced surgical and emergency medicine topics.
Publications: Over a decade of research in equine critical care, surgical innovations, and pharmacology, with recent work on gastrointestinal microcirculations and drug kinetics in horses. His studies address clinical challenges in emergency medicine and orthopedic surgery.
