Jarod S. Gonzalez is a faculty member at Texas Tech University School of Law, holding the J. Hadley and Helen Edgar Professor of Law chair. He joined the faculty in 2004 after practicing law at Thompson & Knight in Dallas and clerkships in the Eastern District of Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. From 2012–2014, he served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
- Teaching Areas: Texas Pretrial Procedure, Texas Trial and Appellate Procedure, Employment Discrimination, Employment Law
- Research Focus: Employment law, Texas civil procedure, and intersections of religious institution missions with labor regulations.
His scholarly work includes co-authoring the widely used Employment Discrimination: A Context and Practice Casebook and its accompanying Teacher's Manual. Recent publications analyze ADA compliance, whistleblower protections, and jury deliberation reforms. Gonzalez also edits the State Bar of Texas Labor and Employment Law Section Newsletter.
Education: B.B.A. and J.D., both summa cum laude, from the University of Oklahoma.
