Timothy Glynn

Timothy Glynn is the Andrea J. Catania Endowed Professor of Law at Seton Hall University’s School of Law. He specializes in employment and labor law, corporate law, and their intersections. Since 1999, he has taught courses in employment law, civil procedure, torts, and business associations, while creating online programs focusing on workplace compliance, whistleblowing, and internal investigations. Glynn served as Associate Dean and Senior Associate Dean, overseeing JD and non-JD programs including Master in Law Studies and global compliance certificate initiatives in healthcare, finance, and intellectual property. He holds an A.B. from Harvard University and J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was Minnesota Law Review Editor-in-Chief. His career includes judicial clerkships, litigation practice at Leonard, Street and Deinard, and academic leadership roles.

Research Interests: Glynn’s scholarship examines enforcement mechanisms in labor and corporate law, legal accountability within businesses, and enterprise structures’ impact on worker rights. His work critiques arbitration clauses, advocates for employee dispute resolution rights, and explores corporate governance’s role in compliance and liability. He co-authors leading casebooks such as Labor Law: Cases and Materials and Employment Law: Private Ordering and Its Limitations.

Advising & Grants: Glynn has supervised Seton Hall’s global healthcare compliance programs across six international locations. His role as Senior Associate Dean involved managing non-JD programs like financial services and healthcare compliance certificates. Labs/Teams: Overseeing interdisciplinary compliance initiatives in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and intellectual property law through Seton Hall’s graduate certificate programs.
