Janet Sung serves as Associate Professor of Violin and Strings Coordinator at DePaul University School of Music in Chicago, while also holding associate faculty positions at The Juilliard School. An internationally acclaimed violinist, she performs with major orchestras worldwide including the Pittsburgh Symphony (debut at age 9), Buffalo Philharmonic, and international ensembles across South Korea, Germany, and Russia.

Her artistic profile combines mastery of traditional repertoire from Bach to Berg with passionate advocacy for contemporary works. She has premiered significant 20th/21st-century compositions including Kenneth Fuchs' "American Rhapsody" (2009) and Augusta Read Thomas' "Double Helix" (2011), noted for "riveting" intensity and "exquisite tone" that blends intellectual depth with virtuosic brilliance.
