Janet McCabe is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University. She holds a PhD in Nursing (University of Ottawa, 2010), MEd in Curriculum Teaching & Learning (OISE, 2006), and BScN (McMaster University, 2001). Her research focuses on health promotion, chronic disease prevention, and social inclusion for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, employing qualitative and mixed-methods approaches. She collaborates with organizations like Special Olympics Ontario and the Child-Bright Network. McCabe teaches courses such as Health Assessment (NURS 2320) and Nursing Leadership (NURS 4100). Her recent work includes pandemic-related healthcare workforce studies and pediatric practicum evaluations.
