Dr. Janet Davey is a Senior Lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington's School of Marketing and International Business. Her academic qualifications include a PhD from the University of Waikato (2015), MPhil (Distinction) in Regional Planning, MA (Hons) in Psychology & Statistics, and BSc in Psychology & Statistics from Massey University, along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching.
Her research centers on transformative service ecosystems, with emphases on value co-creation in healthcare, social marketing for vulnerable populations, and consumer behavior in resource-constrained contexts. She investigates how service design can reduce inequalities and enhance well-being through strengths-based approaches and digital innovation.
Davey's publications demonstrate consistent focus on service resilience, health systems, and consumer vulnerability. Her work employs qualitative methodologies to examine service failures, stakeholder interdependencies, and cultural responsiveness across healthcare, education, and faith-based services.
