Jane Pryma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Boston University (College of Arts and Sciences). Her research focuses on the sociological analysis of health, medicine, and disability, emphasizing how political systems, medical technologies, and human rights frameworks shape understandings of pain and disability. She holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University (2020) and a B.A. in Sociology and English from Kenyon College.
