Jan Nyeki

Jan Nyeki is a Senior Research Assistant and Research Associate in the Department of Physics at Royal Holloway, University of London. His research focuses on condensed matter physics, low-temperature physics, and quantum systems, with expertise in cryogen-free refrigeration and precision thermometry. He has contributed to major projects such as the European Microkelvin Platform (2019-2023) and Quantum Phase Transitions in Helium Films (2010-2013). Nyeki’s work spans experimental studies of material properties, quantum phase transitions, and advanced cooling technologies, published in journals like Physical Review Letters and Nature Communications.

His research highlights include developing microkelvin-range refrigeration platforms, verifying fundamental laws in metallic systems, and investigating magnetic transitions in heavy fermion materials. Nyeki collaborates internationally on projects funded by the European Union and EPSRC, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to quantum and low-temperature phenomena.
