Jan Logemann serves as substitute professor of American History at the University of Göttingen for the 2025/26 academic year, with prior acting professorships at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Ruhr University Bochum, and University of Kassel. He remains a Research Associate at Göttingen's Institute of Economic and Social History since 2014 and serves as Affiliated Faculty at the University of Glasgow's School of Social Sciences.
His academic credentials include a Doctorate in Modern History from Pennsylvania State University (2007), Master of Arts in History from Humboldt University of Berlin (2002), and undergraduate studies across Humboldt University, Free University of Berlin, and Pennsylvania State University (1996-2002).
