Jan Gay

Dr. Jan Gay is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Seattle University's Online School Counseling program. Her research examines anti-racist practices in school counseling, multicultural competence development, and social justice advocacy. Gay brings 14 years of clinical experience including school counseling (PreK-12) and social work with children/families.

She earned her PhD from University of Florida following degrees from University of South Alabama and University of Alabama. Professional affiliations include ACA, ACES, and Florida Counseling Association. Gay received the 2022 ACA Courtland C. Lee Multicultural Excellence Scholarship Award and served as ACES Graduate Student Representative (2021-2022).
