Ileana A. Gonzalez

Dr. Ileana A. Gonzalez is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Special Education at the University of Maryland, College Park. She previously held a faculty position at Johns Hopkins University for over a decade and has extensive experience in K-12 education as a teacher and school counselor, particularly serving Caribbean populations in South Florida. Her Ph.D. in Counselor Education (2013) from UMD underpins her work in multicultural and antiracist counselor education, cultural competence, and social justice action in urban schools.
