Jan Fermelis

Jan Fermelis is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at Deakin Business School, Faculty of Business and Law, Deakin University, where she has been teaching for over two decades. Her expertise lies in management education, particularly in Change Management, Human Resource Management, Business Communication, and Academic Communication.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of TESOL, both from Monash University. She is currently finalizing her PhD at Monash University, focusing on intercultural communication adaptations by Australian expatriates in Shanghai.

Jan's research interests span intercultural communication, expatriate adaptation in China, higher education pedagogy, and innovative assessment methods.
