Professor Alex Newman serves as Head of the Department of Management at Deakin Business School, Deakin University. Previously affiliated with Monash Business School and Nottingham University Business School (Ningbo, China), he specializes in organizational behaviour, leadership, and entrepreneurship. His research explores psychological resilience in entrepreneurs and career integration challenges for refugees.
His work appears in leading journals including the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business Ethics, and International Small Business Journal. Notable awards include the 2014 Vice Chancellors Award for Excellence at Monash University and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management's Early Career Researcher Award.
