Amanda Daly is an Associate Professor and Academic Director of the EmpowerED University Preparation program at Griffith Business School, Griffith University. Previously, she served as Deputy Dean (Learning & Teaching) in the Business School and Interim Head of the Department of Business Strategy & Innovation. Her academic affiliations include membership in the Griffith Asia Institute. She holds a PhD from Griffith University (2001–2007).
Research Interests: Her work focuses on student transition, international education, online learning, intercultural engagement, expatriate management, and employability. She has published extensively on student exchange programs, cultural adjustment, and policy impacts on education and recruitment.
Professional Recognition: Amanda is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Griffith University Learning & Teaching Academy, and the International Education Association of Australia. In 2022, she received the Vice Chancellor Award for Education Leader of the Year.
Teaching & Supervision: She currently supervises doctoral and master’s students in areas like academic integrity, expatriate retention, and AI in HRM. She teaches enabling courses in EmpowerED and has previously taught management, HRM, and intercultural communication.
Grants & Collaborations: In 2024, she co-led a grant on AI-driven assessment feedback funded by HERDSA. She collaborates with global institutions and contributes to government advisory groups on education and policy.
Labs/Teams: She actively participates in the Griffith Asia Institute and leads the EmpowerED program, fostering intercultural and academic excellence.
