Jamie Cheston serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Marketing Department at Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder, having joined the faculty in 2025 after transitioning from a 20+ year career in the advertising industry.
His professional background spans both agency and client-side marketing roles, bringing practical industry experience directly into the classroom. Cheston previously worked with the Advertising, Public Relations & Design department of CMCI (College of Media, Communication and Information) before joining Leeds.
Cheston's research interests focus on the intersection of marketing theory and real-world application, with particular emphasis on brand management, advertising effectiveness, and product innovation strategies. His industry experience informs his teaching approach, making concepts tangible for students through case studies and practical frameworks drawn from his extensive career.
As a certified Integral Professional Coach™, Cheston has developed a specialized marketing framework-based career coaching methodology that helps students craft and market their Personal Brand to prospective employers. This unique approach bridges academic learning with career development.
