Christopher Chavez is the Carolyn Silva Chambers Distinguished Professor of Advertising and Director of the Center for Latina/o and Latin American Studies (CLLAS) at the University of Oregon, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Journalism and Communication. His research examines intersections of globalization, media industries, cultural identity, and marketplace dynamics impacting marginalized communities.
