James W. Buehler, MD, is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health. He is also an affiliate of the Drexel Urban Health Collaborative. Prior to joining Drexel in 2013, he held leadership roles in public health, including serving as Philadelphia’s health commissioner (2014–2015) and over two decades at the CDC and Georgia’s state health department. He previously held a position as a Research Professor at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.
