Rabbi Nancy E. Epstein is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Community Health and Prevention at Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health. With over 40 years in public health, she specializes in arts integration, community organizing, and policy advocacy. She holds an MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, MAHL (rabbinic ordination) from Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, and a BA in Human Development from Colby College.
Her research focuses on arts in public health, religion-spirituality intersections with health, and strategic community partnerships. Notable achievements include creating Drexel's Arts in Public Health minor, leading evaluations of Philadelphia's Mental Health First Aid program, and receiving multiple teaching awards including Drexel's Barbara G. Hornum Award (2017).
