James Sweeting is a Lecturer in Game Studies and Programme Leader at the University of Plymouth's School of Art, Design and Architecture. His research focuses on hauntological form in videogames, exploring nostalgia's role in the medium's relationship with its past. He completed a PhD investigating hauntological form through Transtechnology Research, emphasizing how nostalgia shapes contemporary game design.
