Dr. David Sheridan is an Associate Professor at the University of Plymouth's Peninsula Medical School and Honorary Consultant Hepatologist at the South West Liver Unit, Derriford Hospital. He previously served as Clinical Service Line Director for the South West Liver Unit (2019-2023). His research focuses on chronic hepatitis C virus and metabolic-dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).
He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education (2015) and serves as an Academic Tutor for BMBS years 3 and 4. His extensive publication record demonstrates expertise in NAFLD biomarkers, viral hepatitis, and clinical trial design for liver diseases.
