James Rauch is an Associate Professor and Director of the Capital Group Fellows at the University of Oklahoma's Price College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Colorado State University, with prior roles as a credit analyst at Green Tree Financial Corporation and a consultant for the Chickasaw Nation for 19 years. His research focuses on small business bank lending and casino financial management, including a 2002 paper on Vietnam's small business lending landscape while at the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City. He has also served as a loan auditor for an Oklahoma bank and taught finance at East Central University and Gustavus Adolphus College.
Education: Ph.D. in Economics (Colorado State University), M.A. in Economics (University of Nebraska-Lincoln), B.A. in Economics (St. Cloud State University).
Teaching interests include insurance, retirement planning, and commercial banking. His expertise spans financial systems in emerging markets and institutional lending practices.
