James R. Tomlinson is a Research Fellow at the University of Oslo’s Department of Musicology, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. His research focuses on medieval music history, theory, and liturgical practices. He is completing a PhD as part of the ERC-funded project 'BENEDICAMUS', examining 14th-century English polyphonic music sources. His work bridges musicology, paleography, and institutional history.
