James Long

James Long is an Associate Professor and Director of Field Placement for the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Indiana Wesleyan University's Division of Behavioral and Health Sciences. He joined the faculty in May 2018 and has over 26 years of social work experience.

Dr. Long's teaching career spans over three decades, with experience at three New York/New Jersey colleges and universities. He played a key role in developing the MSW program at a Christian college in New York, including creating the clinical track and achieving CSWE accreditation. His scholarship focuses on forgiveness, reconciliation, conflict resolution, Christian worldview, and marriage enrichment. He also serves as Clinical Supervisor of an outpatient Christian social work practice in New Jersey.
