Professor James Cullen is the Head of Business and Law at Edge Hill University's School of Law & Criminal Justice. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Manchester and has held academic positions at the University of York (as Professor of Financial Regulation and Research Director), University of Sheffield (Associate Professor), and Liverpool John Moores University (Senior Lecturer). He is an Adjunct Research Professor at the University of Oslo and a Research Fellow at the Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity (GISP). His research focuses on financial regulation, banking law, and corporate governance, with notable contributions to climate change and sustainable finance. He has secured grants from the ESRC, European Commission, and other bodies, and his work influences policy at institutions like the IMF and the European Parliament.
